For this last week in March, first week in April we’d like to say a last word about women. Because women should always have the last word! Haha. But seriously, we are so grateful to the many women in our lives who we call sisters, friends and supporters. You have been enthusiastic and encouraging; you have bought our products and given us feedback.. You have made us better in so many ways. We couldn’t do it without you! 

We would like to end the women-centered month of March by highlighting two women we admire and who have made Rapt better: Charlotte Hess of Isobel & Cleo and Angela Liguori of Studio Carta. Both women have impeccable taste and have been generous with their time and talent.

Charlotte, whose home is on the charming island of Nantucket and whose heart seems to be in Paris, is the creative force behind and the face in front of Isobel & Cleo, one-of-a kind luxurious knitwear. I had met Charlotte a few times, but this past summer we had a chance to sit and have coffee and share a sandwich together on Nantucket. We found we had a lot in common: a love of France, progressive politics and brains that raced a mile a minute. We formed a collaboration to use the beautiful remnant yarn from Charlotte’s wonderful creations.

Angela Liguori, whose beautiful cotton ribbon enhances any Rapt gift, hails from Italy, where the ribbon is made. Her home is outside of Boston and so is her shop. Studio Carta is the most beautiful, serene and light-filled workspace, and Angela has filled it with her ribbon and scissors and desk accessories - as well as a heavenly pink couch! She is a gracious and lovely person and it shows in her work! Angela always makes time for you and generously shares advice and resources. We always enjoy seeing her and look forward to workshops in her delightful space some day.
