accent wrap
Add an Accent - Rapt Recipe
Place diagonally
Lay out a sheet of rapt on a flat surface and place your gift on a diagonal in the center of the sheet.Fold over and tuck under
Pick up one side and fold it over. And if there is extra fabric tuck it under on the opposite sideWrap opposite corner over
Grab the opposite side of your Rapt and bring over the top of the gift. If you want an extra detail you can fold it back over on itself to show the opposite side of the fabric and highlight the stitching detail.Pinch & fold sides, knot
Grab the remaining sides, and as you do, pinch them together. Bring them up to the top, one with each hand, and tie a knot. Pinch the fabric at the sides to make it a little easier to bring the knot together. At this point you can tidy up if needed. We often tuck the fabric in on the sides and/or shift the knot to get it exactly right. And then if you have a Rapt pompom, we just tuck the strings under the knot.Take the small Rapt sheet
Fold it in half one direction and make a crease. Fold it in half the other direction and make another crease. Now you have found the middle - where the creases overlap.Fold on diagonals
Fold the small sheet in half on the diagonal. Fold it in half again from the stitched edge to the stitched edge to create a smaller triangle. Grab the top piece at the pointed stiched corner and fold it down to the bottom to meet the lower point. Create a smaller triangle. Flip the fabric over all together and repeat on the opposite side. You should have a small triangle.Fan out the edges
Place your finger on the top folded point to hold it down and fan out the stitched edges on the bottom. You can make them as wide or narrow as you would like.Tuck into your gift
Tuck the folded edge of your fan under the knot of your larger Rapt sheet. If the present is small then I fold the folded end under itself to make the accent piece the right length.
